Everything your HVAC system does starts with the thermostat. We install and fix thermostats so every room in your San Rafael, NM home actually reaches the temperature you dial in.
If your home feels too warm in one room and too cold in another, or the temperature never quite matches what's on the display, the furnace or AC isn't always to blame. Sometimes the thermostat itself is misreading conditions or failing to talk to the system properly, which can trace back to wiring issues, drifting sensors, or simply an outdated unit.
Because the thermostat is the go-between for your whole system, even a minor glitch there can mimic symptoms that look like a serious equipment failure.
Ready for an upgrade? We'll go over your options, from straightforward programmable models to smart thermostats that learn your household's routine and let you adjust things remotely. Before recommending anything specific, we confirm it's compatible with your existing furnace and air conditioner.
Installation covers a wiring check, calibration, and a complete system run-through to make sure the new thermostat is communicating properly with your heating and cooling equipment.
When a thermostat is misbehaving rather than dead, we track down whether it's a wiring problem, a drifting sensor, or an issue with the control board itself. A lot of thermostat trouble can be sorted out without replacing the whole unit, which keeps costs down for you.
After the repair, we test it through a complete heating and cooling cycle to make sure it's reading conditions accurately and responding the way it should.
It can. Since the thermostat is what tells your system when to turn on and off, bad readings there can throw off comfort throughout the whole house.
Plenty of households like the scheduling flexibility and remote access a smart thermostat offers, and we're happy to talk through whether it makes sense for you.
We always check your current equipment first, so whatever thermostat we recommend is one we know will work with it.
Let CoolEdge HVAC Services install or repair your thermostat for accurate, dependable control.
